The anti-imperialistic camp and the community of lawyers mobilised themselves in Tunisia after the announcement of the sudden decision of the government to extradite Dr Al-Mahmoody Al-Baghdady, Secretary General of the people of the Great Libyan Jamahiriya, or it's legal peoples secretary, to the mercenaries of CNT/OTAN, actually occupying the country.
According to his lawyers (Me Bechir Essid et Me Baccar), Dr Al-Baghdady is in detention in Tunisia (prison of d’El-Mornaguia, west of the capital) without reasonable cause. They have recently reminded this during two international reunions in defence of the families of the victims of armed gangs of the CNT/OTAN [ref. 1 and 2].
The “ Pacifistes de Tunis” (Pacifists of Tunis) have had the pleasure of encountering other anti-imperialistic activists, Friday 26th of may 2012 on the square of the Government (Qasba) to express their total refusal and their deep indignation. In the field, they have at the contrary had the displeasure of finding “Salafists” shouting slogans inviting to arm the Syrian equivalent of the mercenaries of the Libyan CNT/OTAN. It appeared very soon that their green flags exited the bearers of black and white flags from the most villainous “Arabic Reaction” (Réaction Arabe), at the service of the most arrogant imperialism, murderous and totalitarian.
Following, the same activists went to the hotel El-Mechtel (Golden Tulip) where took place a conference celebrating the works done since the “revolution” of January 14th 2011, of the Tunisian League for the Human Rights ( Ligue Tunisienne pour la défense des Droits de l’Homme (LTDH).
Amongst the “branded” guests could be found in first row a certain Bertrand Delanoë (French Socialist politician and mayor of Paris since 2001)… Expected to the tribune was Moncef Marzouki himself. Indeed, the president of the republic who directed in his time the LTDH [ref. 3 and 4].
A woman of our group (Mabrouka) then created a general surprise by going to the tribune, whilst approaching the president of the republic and waving a sign on which the auditorium could read: “No to the extradiction of Dr Al-Baghdady!”. Marzouki, taken by panic, impulsively pushed her back. But, as a few months ago during the International Conference of the Enemies of Syria organised on Tunisian soil[ref 5.]- where the pacifistic protesters had managed to impose their point of view despite the censorship and the battering of the police-, all the numerous guests (amongst which the cream of the tunisian politic scene) talked about amongst themselves, was this incident... Who was this mysterious and enigmatic woman?
The non-defeatist activists had also come to distribute (another surprise ...) a Letter of Libyan exiles in Tunisia [ref.6]. In it, they implore the Government not to deliver Dr. Al-Baghdady to the current illegitimate"government" in place in Libya.
On leaving the hotel, the LTDH president, Dr. Ben Moussa, confirmed us that in any event, an independent commission of Tunisian lawyers should first go to Libya to assess the "feasibility" of a trial according to the ethical standards, guaranteeing fair safety of Dr. Al-Baghdady and his entourage.
According to a Tunisian lawyer, the decision to send Dr Al-Baghdady would fall, not on a claim of the “government” of the CNT / NATO, currently busy with the preparation of the masquerade of “democratic” “elections” in the territory of the Great Libyan Jamahiriya [ref. 7 and 8], but a negotiation “under the table” between Ennahda, the “Islamist” party in power in Tunisia, and its equivalent in Libya.

Thanks, but this is being surpassed by news and a big world wide campaign starting in a few hours... also we must stop echoing the lies of western media calling him "Prime Minister." NO ONE from the masses in the west, will give a hoot if they think this is about a Prime Minister. If they hear it is a People's Secretary, then they'll be interested and on a level -- "sounds like one of us."
Best wishes and thanks for all the work you are doing. Please spread around and take part in the campaign when it becomes public on June 12!
